04-01-1987 April 1, 1987 9: 00 am Present: Edwards, Dougher and Supt. Mosher The Commission discussed the new construction taking place between Sweet Road and the Cemetery. There was concern that there might be some infringement on the fifty foot right-of-way belonging to the Cemetery. Rodney was asked to keep a close watch on any future developments . It would seem that the builders are within their own boundaries except for some debris that they will remove . There has been no word from the insurance company regarding payment for the damage at Mt . Hermon Cemetery. The papers are in the hands of the town attorney. The Griswald lot (discussed in August) has been given to their nephew. We have a notorized letter authorizing him to use the lot . A similar change will be handled in the same manner with a lot owned by Regan and Denny. The new tractor has been delivered and the dump truck will be here soon. Clean-up has started; the flower boxes have been installed near the office . The State Auditors are in town and have requested that we turn over the financial reports (year end) for the missing years . Bob will do so . They have also questioned the retaining of 1/3 sale of lots . After again discussing the purchase of "Pine Crematorium" from John Ross, the Commissioners will send a letter to the Town Board stating that "we recommend to the Town Board that they consider the purchase from John Ross of the Pine Crematorium. " Due to the new development plans for the area by Sunnyside Cemetery and the belief that we might own additional land outside the fence, it was decided that we should investigate the matter further. Sylvia will contact John Austin and Bob will contact Gary Bowen, owner of the land around the cemetery. Interments 540 Lots 1500 Vault 200 2240
