06-05-1991 PINE VIEW CEMETERY COMMISSION 9: 00am June 5, 1991 Present : Dougher, Prime and Supt . Mosher Mrs . Laura Fricke contacted the Town Supervisor concerning golf balls flying into the Seeley Cemetery from the Queensbury Golf Club. This is not a new problem and had we been informed in a timely manner we possibly could have saved some of the town attorney' s time . The insurance check from the first accident at Mt . Hermon arrived and damage to the monuments has been corrected . National Welding has estimated $500 to reset the fence . The Commission feels that the best thing may be to replace the entire run of fence, which is rotten from age and salt, with fencing similar to Sunnyside' s . We have $750 from the sale of old fence and would get some amount from the old Mt . Herman fence to partially offset the cost . DEC has been contacted on the pond in PINE VIEW. It is smelling and turning green from weed growth because DEC prevented us from draining it the last few autumns claiming the draining silted up Half Way Brook. It is fairly obvious that it was road building that silted up the stream . In any case, the pond must be drained this Fall or next summer will be even worse . A water main break was quickly fixed doing no damage . Mrs . Styles has been very unhappy with our policy of no artificial flowers . We regret this but feel it is best for the crew and many other lot owners . Marshall Seelye inquired about the possibilty of Pine View building a large mausoleum. Supt . Mosher feels the cost, over $250, 000, and the cost of upkeep is prohibitive . The Commission agreed.
