Present : Dougher, Edwards, Prime, Monahan, Goetz and Supt . Mosher
The resolution for the purchase of the retort and the changes in
the contract was passed on 3/24/92 . 198 cremations have been done
so far this year and we need the new retort in order to do needed
maintenance on the old one as well as be ready for increased use
in the future . Rod will follow the chain of paper to DEC to
Manufacturer to Town Attorney.
The men picked up artificial flowers this week and there were a
lot of them.
We would like to do some planting at West Glens Falls to soften
its barren look. There is a problem of burials right up to the
fence . Perhaps flowering vines might be an answer .
There has been a letter of complaint concerning the new fence at
Mt . Hermon supposedly causing a visual problem. Rod will respond.
The new fence is both set back further and of less height than the
old one . It is a County road .
The new piece that was seeded last Fall winter—killed and has been
done again .
The summer help is working now and CETA folks will be working some
at Pine View but less hours than in the past .
An old urn was stollen from Pine View. The thieves obviously knew
the value as it was an antique .
