Chris Gauthier came in to speak to the Commission about our policy
of burials on holidays . A problem over the 4th of July was
resolved to the satisfaction of both parties . We will discuss the
wording of our current policy, although it was the opinion of the
members of the Commission that it would probably remain the same,
review the fees charged and notify all parties if there is any
change .
The Commission authorized Rod to notify the funeral homes that all
paper work must be in the Superintendent' s hands before a burial
can take place . This is State mandated .
A letter has been sent to Mrs . Brandt regarding her concern about
the visibility at Mt . Hermon Cemetery because of the new fence .
Fred Austin has been notified of her complaint .
The CETA program has started and the regular summer employees are
also at work.
The retort has been installed and is waiting for Niagara Mohawk to
hook up the gas and install the meter. Rod will urge them to do
this as soon as possible . Breakdown of our retort could cause a
serious problem.
Betty Monahan suggested that Rodney contact the Town doctor to see
if we are using all the necessary health care aids .
