02-03-1993 PINE VIEW CEMETERY COMMISSION

Supt . Mosher
There was new damage to the Mt . Hermon fence but it was rather
minor and has been covered by the car owner' s insurance .
It seems that a cult has been stealing the urns and other
artifacts out of Pine View and other cemeteries . Some of the
people have been arrested and the antique urns recovered. There
are a higher number of patrols by the police now.
The building has been painted inside and the overhaul of the
equiptment is underway. Burials are still possible in Pine View .
New drains have been installed to counter ice on the roads .
Mr. Russel Harris has been researching the history of Pine View
and the Cemetery Commission. It is complicated and difficult to
follow. He met with the town attorney to give him some knowledge
of the reasons that the town bought the cemetery and had the
Commission created to manage it . This happened while Mr. Harris
was the supervisor.
Notification of our regular meeting dates will be advertised for
the Open Meeting law requirements . The Commission meets on the
first Wednesday of the month at 9: 00am .
