11-03-1993 PINE VIEW CEMETERY COMMISSION
November 3, 1993

Present : Edwards, Prime and Supt . Mosher
There was a general discussion of rates and where we stand in
relationship to our neighboring cemeteries . Mr. Brandt has
proposed a higher rate for winter burials . The rates will be
reviewed next month and be effective on January i, 1994. The idea
of contracting to care for the Glens Falls Cemetery may not be
feasible but should be explored . This would be something for our
Supervisor to discuss with the Mayor . Since we already care for
our own outlying cemeteries, adding Glens Falls might make sense
for both communities .
Fall cleanup of the outside cemeteries is nearing completion and
Pine View will get a second go around soon.
Mausoleum lots have sold well this year and a rather small new
area is in use for this purpose . We may need to set aside a larger
piece in the back of the new area for the future .
We have still not gotten the water leak taken care of and Rod will
contact Tim Birch once more .
Over thirty five funeral homes use the Pine View crematory now and
more than four hundred cremations will be done in 1993 .
