03-02-1994 The March meeting of the Pine View Cemetery Commission for 1994 was held 2 March 1994 at the Pine View Cemetery office at 9:a.m.. Present: Chair- Sylvia Dougher Treasurer- Bob Edwards Secretary- Joe Fiore Superintendent - Rod Mosher Also Present: Councilwoman Betty Monahan Councilman George Wiswall Peggie Prime, former Commissioner The February minutes and the corrections of the January minutes were read. The February minutes were corrected. Rod reported that the processor has been installed and is doing a fine job. Treasurer Bob Edwards reported February, 1994 figures as follows: Interments- $3500 Lots - 2800 Vault - 600 Total - $6900 Cremations - $6915 Cardboard - 625 Misc. - 85 Total - $7625 Rod Mosher reported that there were 11 full burials in February and there are 16 bodies in the vault for burial in the Spring. He also reported there were 33 cremations in February. This is one more than in February 1993. The new furnace is working well. Niagara Mohawk will be connecting natural gas soon. Rod also reported that the insurance company sent the Commission a check for $422.23 for an accident when one of our trucks backed in to one of our cars in a storm. Betty Monahan asked Rod to instruct his drivers to be more careful when operating our vehicles. Chair Dougher wishes the record to show that the Commission is grateful to Paul Naylor for his assistance in keeping our roads open when called on. Councilman George Wiswall reported that the Town Board gave the contract to LVR to do the work on the Crawford retort. A walking meeting of the Pine View Cemetery Commission will take place when we have better weather. At that time, there will be more discussion on the plastic and balloon decorations that people have been placing on graves. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m..
