08-03-1994 PINE VIEW CEMETERY COMMISSION
Aug. 3, 1994
9:00am
Present: Dougher, Prime, Wiswall, Supt. Mosher and, later, Edwards
It is time for Rod to work on the 1995 Budget. We do want to include a replacement for
the oldest tractor. This is done on a three-year rotation basis to avoid high maintenace
costs, one replaced each year. The Commission would like to see the town return to the
capital account category for each department so that money would be there when
needed for large equipment.
Niagara Mohawk continues to ignore our request for a natural gas hookup to the
building. George Wiswall will try contacting Mr. Trowbridge for some action.
Van Dusen & Steves will try to survey the new Horicon Section before winter sets in.
Edwards and Wiswall went to the Austin Cemetery and agreed that the large dead
limbs should be removed. George Wiswall contacted Dick Sears on his own initiative
and took Sears not only to the Austin Cemetery to get an idea of cost but, also,on a
tour of other cemeteries in the town. There are dead trees in several of these.
George will present the quote for the Austin Cemetery work (without the Sears
recommended fertilizing) and for work in Jenkins and in Mt. Hermon Cemeteries to the
Town Board for an opinion as to use of Sears or other company and to find out who is
responsible.
This action by George was agreed to by Commissioners Dougher and Edwards as
Prime had to leave the meeting early.
Rod was authorized to put in a budget request for a Hydraulic Driven snowblower and
to include the sum of$2000 to continue tree removal next year.
