04-12-1995 PINE VIEW CEMETERY COMMISSION April 12, 1995 • 9:00am Present: Dougher, Edwards, Prime, Supt. Mother, Terry Higgins and Town Board members: Ted Turner and Betty Monahan Terry Higgins has been chosen to replace Peggie Prime on the Pine View Cemetery Commission. The resolution confirming her appointment will be voted on at the next Town meeting. Winter clean-up is ahead of last year. There are very few inflatables in the cemetery and they will be removed and tagged the Sunday after Easter. Duck feeding is much curtailed; duck numbers are down and the aggressive goose seems to be staying home. • The Highway Department will run a rough road around the back of the cemetery and the Water Department will bring a water line in from Sweet Road on our right- of-way. A new compressor is needed for the refrigeration unit in the crematory. Freon will be eliminated and the contract, when let, will contain the stipulation that the contractor will be responsible for the removal and proper disposal of all materials in a manner to comply with any DEC and EPA regulations. Superintendent Mosher will check the wording with the town attorney. A part-time secretary will be working in the Pine View office through the Green Thumb program at no cost to the town. This woman worked in the office before and was very satisfactory. The stone damaged last winter must be replaced and the insurance company has agreed to settle for the full cost. Mrs. Dougher explained that the no tresspassing signs near Jenkinsville Cemetery were posted by the Harrises to try to prevent hunters fron going on their land. The damage at Mt. Hermon Cemetery from tree removal will be repaired by the Hunt's. A mistake was made in January's check to the town. The $1500 was not witheld. Bob will check on the amount still owed to the Perpetual Care Funds for the next meeting and will withold an extra$1500 from April's check to correct the error.
