The employment of Gail Sinclair is on hold. Gail would be
returning to work under the Green Thumb project, which is a
Federally-funded program and at no cost to the Town of Queensbury,
but the Union will not agree to her employment at this time.

Foundations are being poured, perhaps the largest amount ever.
Clean up is done in Pineview. The winter graves are topped and
will be seeded by next week. Mt. Herman is done and West Glens
Falls and Seeley are in the process .
Although understaffed by one man, Rodney reports work is ahead of
schedule due to the mild winter. Hopefully, Gary Grant will be
well enough to return to work this month.
There was a complaint to Paul Naylor that cemetery employees dumped
debris on Gurney Lane. Our staff have not been there yet and Paul
will straighten it out.
There was a complaint that a woman was exercising her racing dog in
Pine View from her car. Rodney suggested she go elsewhere or walk _
the dog and pick up after him. She agreed to go elsewhere.
Duck feeding is way down since the "No Feeding Ducks" signs were
erected.
There were over 60 burials this winter and there are only 10 bodies
left in the vault.
One large foundation was poured (Gauthier) by Loiselle. We
guarantee foundations but do not want the responsibility for
exceptionally large ones .
Two loads of topsoil (21 . 5 tons) were purchased. Half of this has
already been used.
Mrs . Elms would like to donate burial space for one on Lot #99 ,
Section 22 , Uncas, tobe used by the Cemetery Commission as they
see fit . The Commission accepted and Superintendent will make
decision for burial .
The overgrown shrubs at Wing Cemetery by Doyles will be removed
soon and replaced with slow-growing shrubs . Sylvia Dougher will
contact Marilyn Van Dyke, Town Historian, regarding purchase of new
shrubs .
The Commission agreed to purchase back from Edward and Myra
Woodward, Lot . #21D, Mohican for $400 . The purchase price was $600
but one-third is retained for perpetual care.
Sylvia Dougher will contact Town Attorney, Paul Dusek, to secure
the deed to Wing Cemetery, which has been pending since 1984 .
Bob Edwards suggested we think of ways to increase revenue in the
future so that�✓Lprogram for cleaning stones might be affordable.
