09-01-1999 QUEENSBURY CEMETERY COMMISSION September 1, 1999 -9 a.m. • PRESENT: Superintendent: Rodney Mosher • Commissioners: George Wiswall, Bob Edwards,Terry Higgins Councilman: Ted Turner There were 38 cremations in August. • All of the crypts were opened in the Vault and the missing infant who died in February of 1965 was not there. Rodney is continuing to investigate the whereabouts of her remains. The fence is still not at Quaker Cemetery, however, the macadam curbings have been installed. Summer help has left. Rod reported they did an excellent job cleaning up the outside cemeteries and hopes they will return next year. A Mrs. Irving called to express her appreciation that a government marker was placed at her husband's grave in time for a service. A Resolution was approved by the Queensbury Town Board on Monday, August 30, 1999 to put the $20,000 from the pending sale of the property to Northway Plaza in a Capital Improvement Fund to benefit the cemetery. Mike Lopez filled in from August 16 to August 20 while Rodney was on vacation. The operations of the cemetery ran smoothly and efficiently in his absence. Rod submitted his budget for the year 2000. There are still problems with the south side of Seeley Cemetery. Our portion is being mowed but the area that Brian Lee is responsible for is receiving minimal attention and one15-foot strip is totally neglected. The Mastrantoni mausoleum is completed.
