12-01-1999 QUEENSBURY CEMETERY COMMISSION December 1, 1999 - 9 a.m. PRESENT: Superintendent: Rodney Mosher Commissioners: George Wiswall, Bob Edwards, Terry Higgins Councilman: Ted Turner There were 40 cremations in November. Fall cleanup is completed. The fence at Quaker Cemetery has not been installed. Mrs. VanDyke has not heard from Berkshire Corp. The County has loaned us a grader and Mike Lopez has been operating it on the undeveloped area near Mohican. A stone that was damaged during snow plowing last winter has been replaced by Loiselle at a cost of$275. Ed Matraw is recovering and will see the doctor on December 10. Dan Geroux of Loiselle Memorials will attend a Commission meeting early next year to provide information on columbariums. The pond is drained in the hopes of killing the underwater growth. Bob Edward made a motion to raise the price of adult cremations by $30 to $225 as of January I, 2000. Terry Higgins seconded the motion. The funeral homes in the area will be notified.
