05-18-1949 • 1 Lay 18 , 1949 REGULAR MONTHLY 1 ETIuG Meeting was called to order by President Jospeh Regan. All Commissioners and Supt Scoville were present . Treasurer Frank Cowles reported a balance of $735.00 in the Perpetual Care Fund. Agreement was reached by the Commissioners that vie should invest 0500. of this amount. Treasurer is directed to contact the County Attorney to determine our authority in this Matter. Two letters were received from the New York State Association of Cemeteries together with a copy of the new cemetery legislation. Treasurer is to take copies of this legislation to County Attorney when he meets with him. President Regan reported that the members of the Cemetary Commission met with the members of the Town Board at the Fine View Cemetary on May 8th to determine an area to be used as free burial ground and also for single interments. Officers of the Central Fire Company of the Town of ,ueensbury were contacted and offered the job of cleaning and caring for the Mt . Herman Cemetary and the Best Glens Falls Cemetary. They are to contact Secretary as soon as they determine whether they will be able to take care of both cemeteries. Treasurer Frank Cowles reported receipts of $323.43 on May 9 , 1949 and $112.50 on May 18th. Of this amount y45.00 was deposited in the Perpetual Care Fund and $400,.93 turned over to Supervisor Russell Harris . Meeting adjourned at 9 :30 P. M. Sec tart'.
