04-06-1961 114 Regular Meeting April 6, 1961 4:30 P.M. All Commissioners & Supt. Scoville are present. Supt Scoville reported that a 1957 International low bed truck was available from the Gray Trucking Company, Miller Hill for $995.00 and he recommended that the truck be purchased to replace the 193$ International truck which is now completely obsolete and unusable . Motion duly made, seconded and carried that the Commission approves the purchase as above outlined. It was further reported that a drop-side dump box to fit the above truck is available and that we can trade the 1938 international truck even for the dump box. We would pay for the cost of installing the box on the new truck. Motion was duly made, seconded and carried that we trade the truck for the dump box & that the Supt be instructed to have the necessary labor performed for the intallation of the box on the new truck. Discussion took place on the survey & mapping of the new area in Pine view cemetery, & it was duly voted to ask the Town surveyor to do this work as soon as possible. RECEIPTS: Sale of Lots $ 520.00 Openings 450.00 Vault rental 60.00 Total vt.- 1030.00 Communication was received from the KiwanusClub of Glens Falls asking for permission to set up a picnic area in the South East corner of the Pineview Cemetery property, facing on Pine View Road. Full discussion was held on the matter and it was voted to disapprove their using the cemetery property. Supt. Scoville reported that he i(ould need two new power rotary mowers for cutting rass in Pineview. Motion was duly made , seconded and carried that he be authorized to purchase two mowers from Sears Roebuck & Co. Contracts for the cutting of grass in the outlying abandoned cemeteries of the town were awarded as follows: West Glens Falls , Mt. Hermon, & Gurney Lane to Dorance Branch; Jenkins , Scotch & Sunnyside to Mountainside Grange ; Seelye to John Bowman; Harrisena to Harrisena Church men' s group. Meeting adjourned at 6 P.M. ecretary
