As a resident of Fort Amherst Road for twenty-one years , pre- viously ten years in the city, I would like to express my appreciation for the cooperation df the two municipalities in resurfacing Fort Amherst Road. In the twenty-one years we have nwver had so good a road to travel on. Disregarding what percentage is in either municipality, residents on the north side (Queensbury) and the south side (City of Glens Falls) use the entire street in their travel. I feel confident I am echoing the appreciation of the others. Again, thank you very much and congratulations in your ability to co-ordinate your thinking. I trust this same sort of cooper- ation can work out in other logical areas. Woodbury-Ronald Stafford, Senator- re: sewage disposal- Supervisor John Austin Town of Queensbury ---' Bay & Haviland Roads Glens Falls, New York 12801 Dear John: The Village of Lake George is extremely interested in the problem of sewage disposal in the Lake George watershed. While we presently have our own system and treatment plant, it is evident that this will be inadequate and perhaps unacceptable in the future. The Board supports your position and ask that you keep us abreast of your progress. We are most interested in being considered as a party to the Hudson River project.. I am sending supporting letters to parties of interest in the State government. The Queensbury proposal makes sense , and is heartily endorsed as a practical, efficient and economical solution. While we realize that women have been appointed to other advisory capa- cities in the past, we feel that this is the first significant appoint- ment, and hope that the Town Board will continue to consider this poten- tial resource when making future appointments.
