March 10, 1969 Town Board Town of Queensbury Bay and Haviland Roads Glens Falls, New York Gentlemen: The Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. has currently under construction a new Fire Station on Aviation Road, Town of Queensbury. I would like to request at this time that two traffic control lights be installed on Aviation Road. The first to be located at the intersection of Mountainview Lane and Aviation Road; the second to be located on Aviation Road, 600± feet Easterly from the inter- section of Mountainview Lane and Aviation Road. Both traffic control lights to be operated by one push button located in the Fire Station, I wish to take this opportunity, on behalf of the entire Fire Company, to thank you for your assistance in this matter. Action on the application will be taken later in this meeting. Supervisor Solomon invited any person present to speak at this time. Mrs. Sterling Akins questioned the Town Board as to the Zoning restrictions to do with location of Mobile Homes within the Town. Mrs. Akins suggested that certain sections should be set aside for Mobile Homes to be located. Supervisor Solomon stated that when a Building and Housing Code is. adppted within the town, the problem of Mobile Home location will be solved. The reports of the Police Department, Building and Zoning Inspector and the Highway Report for the month of February, 1969 were received and placed- on file. The Monthly Statement of the Supervisor was received and placed on file. The total receipts for- the month were $28,025.88 and the total disbursements were $106,575.60. The public official bonds for Town officials were signed by each member of the Town Board. RESOLUTION REGARDING PUBLIC OFFICIAL BONDS RESOLUTION NO. 65, Introduced by Mr. Robillard, seconded by Mr. Demboski. Maille of 32 Luzerne Road, West Glens Falls, N.Y. , has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN `J OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated VanDusen Road-426 feet from corner Luzerne Road, East side, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that said application complies with the requirements of said ordinance, and WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said application are sufficient to justify further consideration by this board, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, the town board shall conduct a public hearing on said application on March 27, 1969, at,8)00 p.m. in the Queensbury Town Office Building, Bay Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give proper notice of said public hearing in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance. Noes - None Supervisor Solomon discussed the recent opening of bids for construction and re-routeing of Aviation Road and Route #9 which was advertised by the State of New York Department of Transportation. The Supervisor stated that there were no bids received and with this problem, the future construction date at this location is uncertain at this time. Councilman Robillard expressed congratulations to Mr. Lee Richardson for being recently elected as Chief of West Glens Falls Fire Company for his 21st year in the office. A short recess in the meeting was declared at this time. The Town Board came to order at 8:50 p.m. RESOLUTION NO. 70, introduced by Mr. Robillard, seconded by Mr. Robertson. RESOLVED that the Audit of Claims as listed in Abstract #69-3A numbered #229 through #305 inclusive and totaling $11,171.25 is hereby approved.
