1967-08-24 253 RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby given to Michael Liddle of 10 Luzerne Road, Glens Falls, N. Y. , to locate a mobile home outside of a licensed mobile home court, at property situated at 10 Luzerne Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with the terms and conditions of said ordinance. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes = Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster. Noes - None RESOLUTION NO. 164, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr., Lampson. Webster, Supervisor Town of Queensbury Bay at Haviland Road, R.D. #1 Glens Falls, New York Dear Mr. Webster: Mr. Frank Adams, newly elected President of the -Assembly Point Association, asked me to transmit to you the feelings of the residents of Assembly Point on the recent proposal to use - Lake George as a source of supply for the municipal water system of the Town of Queensbury. The following is the .resolution passed unanimously at the Thirtieth Annual Dinner Meeting of the Assembly Point Association held on August 19, 1967: "Resolved, that the members of the Assembly Point Association endorse the action of the Lake George Association by opposing the proposed action of the Town of Queensbury to use Lake George as a source of supply for its municipal water system as being injurious to the best interests of home owners in the Lake George watershed." Very truly yours, (Mrs.) Betty Dubin Secretary Supervisor Webster reported on a recent visit and investigation of the Municipal Water Supply System in the village of Ticonderoga. The water is being furnished from the waters of Lake George at present. TOWN OF QUEENSBURY Warren County, New York POLICE - Department 21 August, 1967 Town Board Town of Queensbury . Gentlemen: Due to the death of Albert Oudekerk we are now without a School crossing guard at Meadowbrook Road and Quaker Road. I have studied this crossing together with conditions at the Schools on Aviation Road. Considering the number of children that walk and the number that have transportation I recommend that the School cross- ing guard for Quaker Road and Meadowbrook Road be discontinued at least for the present time. I wi13 continue to devote as much J time as I can to both Meadowbrook and Aviation Roads during. school hours. - Sincerely - LeRoy Phil lips 255 The report of the Chief of Police for the month of July was received and placed on file. Mr. Walter Baker and Chief Allen Dufour of the South Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company visited the meeting-at this time. Councilman Turner reported on the recent meeting of the Comprehensive Sewerage Study . The reports .and communications of the meeting to date were received and placed on file. , Carried unanimously. The six month report on Town financing as prepared by the Supervisor was received and placed on file. Mr. Walter Baker was granted the floor. Mr. Baker stated that the present water supply being furnished from the Village of Hudson Falls is not adequate.as A request was advanced that water is needed from the Town of Queensbury. Supervisor Webster stated that the date of any expansion of the present water system is uncertain at this time. Chief DuFour spoke on the subject of lack of water supply. Lengthy discussion ensued with all details being discussed as to the necessary procedures in creating a water supply district. Chief DuFour also discussed a lighting district in the area of South Queensbury with information that the residents have made requests for same. , RESOLUTION TO AMEND AUDIT OF CLAIMS RESOLUTION NO. 165, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Lampson. _ WHEREAS, Highway Audit #828 under Abstract 67-8 dated August 10, 1967 ,appears to be a duplicate of a bill vouchered to the Queensbury Water Department under Audit #852, also appearing on the same abstract payable to Emil Holmes in the amount of $8.53, and WHEREAS, Audit #852 has been paid to -Emil Holmes, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the amount allowed under audit #828 be deleted from the abstract, thereby decreasing the total amount of Abstract #67-8 by the sum of $8.53.
