The minutes of the meeting of February 23, 1967 were approved. ;
Carried unanimously:
The Town Clerk reported the receipt of a serving of three copies of a
"Notice for Revisew" by Attorney Thomas Rcrosen to do with a question
as to property-assessments within the Town of Queensburyg, -And the
Town of Fort Ann. - The same notice involved the Counter of Warren
and the County of Washington.
A letter was ,read, from the "Neighborhood Youth. of,-W4Xiren
Hamilton Counties which announced the total amount paid to Youth
Corps enrollees in the Town of Queensbury.
A letter was recekved •and placed on file from the.Abilene tPest
Control which offered services for -tree spraying within the
Town of queensbtiry. .:-
The report of the Police Department for the month Qf February,
1967 was received and placed on file.
The Water Department Report for.the,months of January & February,
1967 were received and placed on file.
The'report of New Construction- for the month of February, 196.7
was received. There were 7 reports filed for the month.
The monthly report of the Supervisor was accepted at this time.
The total receipts as listed were $48,330.43. The total
disbursements for the month were $72,815.87.

RESOLUTION.NO. 51, Mr. Robertson introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Turner.
WHEREAS, the Lake George Park Commission requested the Town Board
to consider the adoption of an ordinance to regulate sewage disposal
systems in that portion of the Town of Queensbury� vhich lies within
the.boundaries, of the Lake George Park for the purpose of preventing
pollution ofthe waters of Lake George,;.and
WHEREAS a proposed ordinance was presented to the Town Board and,
after due notice, a public hearing was held thereon by the Town Board
on the 23- day of February, 1967, be it
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the-Town of Queensbury adopt the
following ordinance:
ORDINANCE TO REGULATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL IN THE,
LAKE GEORGE PARK
Be It Enacted and Ordained by the Town Board of the. Town of
Queensbury, Warren County, New York, as follows:
Section 1. , Thee waters of; Lake George, are used for municipal
water .upply, and hou_sehold use and the Legislature of the State of
New York, has from time .to ,time. over the-years enacted legislation
designed to protect the waters of Lake George and prevenf pollution
thereof, and the Lake George Park has been established by the
Legislature for the purpose of providing furhter protection in all
areas adjoining the lake. The Town Board of the Town of Queensbury
enacts this ordinance to establish and provide control of sewage
disposal systems in that portion of the Town of Queensbury which
lies within the limits of the Lake. Georga, Park for the. purpose of
preventing pollution of the waters of Lake..Georgefrom such sewage
`— disposal systems.
.Section Zi -The .requirements .for .sewage disposal systems shall
be those contained in Part III of Bulletin No. 1, `datdd 4/62, and
published by the New York State Department of Health, entitled
Sewage Disposal -Systems For :The Home"; which is herebi incdrporated
into and made a part of this ordinance and be and constitute the
standards required for the construction or alteration of sewage
disposal systems for private dwellings .within ..that portion of the
Town of Queensbury which lies within the boundaries of `the Lake George
Park, and shall apply -only to private dwellings therein constructed
after April 1, 1967, and to private dwellings existing therein on that
date whose sewage disposal systems are altered or enlarged after that
date, ,
Section 3. No person,, firm corporation or association shall
construct, so alter or so enlarge, or occupy a private dwelling to
which this ordinance is applicable within that portion of the Town of
Queensbury which lies within the boundaries of the Lake George Park
after April 1, 1967, }finless a permit therefor stall be issued by the
Town Clerk of the Town of` Queensbuiy. ` Plans fbr the construction of-
-- the proposed sewage disposal system or for the alteration or enlarge-
. went of an existing sewage disposal system shall be filed in the office
of the Town Clerk and upon approval of such plansrby written endorse-
ment thereon by the Town Building Inspector, or other officer desig-
oated 1}y. the Town Board, that suehsplans comply with the standards
established and adopted by this ordinance, such permit shall be
issued by the Town Clerk.

The�° permit shall be valid provided the construction_ef the sewage
disposal system is completed in accordance with the approved plan
therefor.`14:The fee for such permit shall be $5.00 which shall be
paid to the Town Clerk at the time the permit is issued.
Section 4:'Apr ilication for a permit to 'construct a sewage
disposal system 'dr to -alter or enlarge an existing sewage disposal
system shall be made upon forms which shall be 'available in the
office of the Town Clerk and the permit shall be in such form as shall
r be approved` by the Town "Board,
Section 5. The provisions of this ordinance shall not apply
to a private dwelling from which domestic sewage is discharged into
a public sewage 'system 4proved 'by the State ui partment+ of Health.
Section 6. A violation of this ordinance shall be an offense
and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a: fine of not more
than $100.00 or by imprisonment for not exceeding thirty days, or both,
and by an additional fine of not exceeding $25.00 for each day that
such private dwelling is occupied in violation of the ordinance after
written notice of such violation has been served by on behalf of the
Town of Queensbury on such person, firm, corporation or association.
In addition to the aforesaid penalitie's, the Town Board of the
Town of QueenIsbury may'-Iinstitute any proper action, suit or proceeding
to prevent, restrain; correct or abate any violation of -this ordinance
or to compel or cause the removal or discontinuance of any occupancy
of a private dwelling or structure or activity in violationof the

provisions' of this ordinance.
` Section 7. This ordinance shall take effect immediately.

WHEREAS a proceedin& has been commenced in the Supreme Count of
Washington County' by Thomas C. 'Remsen and others against the Board of
Assessors of the Town of Fort Ann and against the Board of Assessors
of the Town .of Queensbury, and others, to determine whether certain
parcels of real property owned"by the petitioners are wholly within
the Town of Fort Ann ar holly within the Town of Queensbury or
partially, in each to And to determine the exact town if the property
is found to be in both towns, be it f

RESOLVED that Jane Mason be and hereby is reappointed a member of
the Recreation Commission of the Town of Queensbury for a term of
five years, said term to expire on February 27, 1972.

RESOLUTION TO FILL VACANCY ON RECREATION COMMISSION

WHEREAS, a vacancy now exists on the Recreation Commission due to the
resignation of Mrs. Ardrienne Windahl occassioned by her moving from
the Town of Queensbury.
RESOLVED, that Harold Robillard, 1 Thomas Street.. Town of Queensbury,
be and he hereby is appointed a member of the Recreation Commission
of the Town of Queensbury effecpive this date, and to serve for the
remainder of the term of Mrs. Ardrienne Windahl, said term to* expire
on February 27, 1970.

RESOIAJT•ION-TO AUTHORIZE TRANSFER OF FUNDS.
RESOLUTION NO. 55, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Robertson
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and
directed to transfer the sum,-of $10,000,from the General Town Fund
to the Town Office Construction Account, in accordance with Resolution
#278, adopted by this board on 12/9/65.

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE ATTENDANCE AT CONFERENCE
-RESOLUTION NO. 56, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Beaty.
RESOLVED, that permission is hereby granted to Thomas R. Flaherty,
and Scott Hopkins, to attend the conference meeting of the
Adirondack Water Works Association, to be held on March 9, 1967,
at Latham, New York, and that the actual and necessary expenses
incurred in such attendance is a proper town charge.
