Codner Dr. Alexander Burkich Bernie Zovistosky Mr. Harold Woodruff The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. The opening of bids fdr salt was accomplished at this time. The clerk presented proof of publication. Reading of the notice to bidders was dispensed .with. The following bids were opened and read by the clerk. Mr. Codner recommended that the Town Board accept the bid of Pasquale Ricciardelli - Feed & Grain Store as the lowest responsible bidder. RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT BID FOR HIGHWAY SALT RESOLUTION NO. 179 ; Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Lampson. WHEREAS, this Town Board has asked for sealed bids for the delivery of highway salt for the coming winter, and WHEREAS, J; Ricciardelli Feed & Grain Store of Glens Falls, New York has presented a bid of $22.00 per ton in 100 lb bags delivered to the Town Storehouse, and $15.00 per ton delivered in bulk to the Town ' Storehouse, now THEREFORE BE "IT RESOLVED, that the bid of J. Ricciardelli Feed & Grain Store be and the same is hereby accepted and approved. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster. Noes - None Mr. Richard Griffin was granted the floor. A discussion was advanced by Mr. Griffin to find if the town would have any objection to his business concern constructing a new building, to be used to house his present business. " A suggestion `that some' road improvement 'ig improtant at this `time to provide ditches to conduct water away from the location. Mr. Floyd Pickett approached the board again with a question as to the pay raise for Election Inspectors. The Supervisor explained that the raise has been planned for in the Preliminary Budget for the year 1965. i Mr. LeRoy Phillips, Chief of Police was granted the floor at which time he presented the following letter. 366 POLICE DEPARTMENT Town of Queensbury 61 Dixon Road Glens Falls, N.Y. October 10, 1964 The Town Board Town of Queensbury Desr Sirs: In light of the 'fact that Mr, Raymond Hoague and officer for tho Town of Queensbury Police Dept. , has retired as of October 1, 1964. I believe that a Policeman for the Dept. is needed at this time. Therefore I recommend the appointment ofMr. Scott Hopkins of 14 Richardson St. West Glens Falls with cut delay. - I also recommend that Mr. Raymond Hoague be reappointed as a Special Policeman, and that Mr. Roger P. Nichols 4 Prospect Drive be 'appointed Special Policeman for the Town of Queensbury. Respectfully submitted A Le Roy Phillips- Chief Action was deferred to a later date when more definite study of the applicants for the appointments will be made, Mr. George Kushner and Dr, Alexander Burkich approached the Town-Board to discuss the possibility of "Fluoridation of the water being supplied by the Queensbury Water District. Glens Falls, New York has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEWYORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated: West of Hall Road,' and WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing in connection with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard in favor of or against said application, and 337 (Resolution No. 180 - continued) WHEREAS, "it is hereby determined that the facts presented application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application, and that the granting of the application will not have an adverse effect on property values in the area, therefore be it RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, permission is hereby given to Mary Odgen of R.F.D. #1 Hall Road, Glens Falls, New York to locate a mobile--home outside of a licensed mobile home court, at property situated at West of Hall Road, -and that -the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance with the terms and conditions of said ordinance. Sicard of R__F_D_#1 Lake George, New York has made application for a .permit to operate a-new TRANSIENT MOBILE HOME COURT containing 25 lots for mobile homes on property situated at North Side of Glen Lake, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has,,; after investigation, given approval of this application and plans, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the application of Charles 0. Be it further RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk ip hereby authorized to issue the permit to operate a TRANSIENT MOBILE HOME COURT upon receipt of the fee, in accordance with Section 2, paragraph 4 of the Mobile Home Ordinance of the Town of Queensbury. YARD RENEWAL RESOLUTION NO. 186 , introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Lampson. WHEREAS, Robert R. Sanders of VanDusen Road, Glens Falls, New York, has made application for a renewal, of the Junk Yard license for the year 1964 at the VanDusen Road location, and WHEREAS, this application has been accompanied by the proper ,license fee of $10.00, therefore be tt RESOLVED, that the renewal of the Junk Yard license of Robert R. Sanders, for the year 1964, be and the same is hereby approved, and be it further RESOLVED, that the ,Supervisor .is hereby directed to issue such renewal license and deposit the fee of $10.00 in the General Town Fund.
