MTG. #24 RES: 310-313 TOWN BOARD MEMBERS Supervisor Stephen Borgos Councilman Marilyn Potenza Councilman Ronald Montesi Councilman Betty Monahan Town Attorney Paul Dusek Supervisor Stephen Borgos-Requested an Executive Session RESOLUTION CALLING FOR AN EXECUTIVE SESSION RESOLUTION NO. 310, 1991, Introduced by Mr. Ronald Montesi who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mrs. Betty Monahan: RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby moves into an executive session to discuss professional services and personnel. Duly adopted this 28th day of May, 1991 by the following vote: Ayes: Mr. Montesi, Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Borgos Noes: None Absent: Mr. Kurosaka,Mrs. Potenza (Councilman Potenza entered the meeting) RESOLUTION ADJOURNING EXECUTIVE SESSION RESOLUTION NO. 311, 1991, Introduced by Mrs. Betty Monahan who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mrs. Marilyn Potenza: RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby adjourns its executive session and moves into regular session. Duly adopted this 28th day of May, 1991, by the following vote: Ayes: Mrs. Potenza, Mr. Montesi, Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Borgos Noes: None Absent: Mr. Kurosaka Discussion held-Proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, we will take a look at these and possibly take some action on Monday. RESOLUTION REGARDING EMPLOYMENT OF MALCOLM PIRNIE ENGINEER RESOLUTION NO. 312, 1991, Introduced by Mrs. Marilyn Potenza who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mr. Ronald Montesi: WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury is desirous of employing an engineer to assist and manage from an engineering perspective the landfill closure construction activities and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury has previously requested that proposals be submitted to the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury outlining engineering services from various firms NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury after reviewing the proposal submitted by three engineering firms has determined that it would be in the best interest of the Town of Queensbury to employ the services of Malcolm Pirnie Engineer and be it further RESOLVED, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby authorizes the Town Attorney to develop a contract with Malcolm Pirnie for their services the contract to be submitted to the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury for approval and for authorization and be it further RESOLVED, that Malcolm Pirnie shall not be considered employed by the Town of Queensbury until such time as the Town Board authorized said contract. Duly adopted this 28th day of May, 1991, by the following vote: Ayes: Mrs. Potenza, Mr. Montesi, Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Borgos Noes: None Absent: Mr. Kurosaka RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EMPLOYMENT OF MR. JOHN GORALSKI RESOLUTION NO. 313, 1991, Introduced by Mr. Ronald Montesi who moved for its adoption, seconded by Mrs. Betty Monahan: WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury has been advised that the Planning Board may need assistance with regard to SEQRA review of a rollercoaster proposed by Attractions Land Inc. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby acknowledges that a proposal for services has been submitted by John Goralski now associated with Richard E. Jones Associates formerly employed by the Town of Queensbury as a planner and the Town Board feels that if services should be needed that Mr. Goralski would be capable of rendering such services as he had formally reviewed said project on behalf of the Town and be it further RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby authorizes his employment subject to a contract to be reviewed by the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury. Duly adopted this 28th day of May, 1991 by the following vote: Ayes: Mrs. Potenza, Mr. Montesi, Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Borgos Noes: None Absent: Mr. Kurosaka Supervisor Borgos-Announced that the Town Board will now go on a road tour, with the Highway Supt.
