1938-08-23 Regular Meeting August 23rd 1938 At a Reuglar Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Queenebury, held at the Town Clerk' s Office in said Town on the above date at 79 p.m. , the following members were presents D. Elmer Fowler Supervisor Ralph T. Been Justice of peace Charles J. Minutes of reguUr meet ing June 28th, Special meetings July 11th, July 18th, and regular me eting July 26th. Special meetings August 9th, and August 17th, read and approved. Mrs :beech, Mr C. A. L. Stephen's`on Jr. , and Mr Adamson called upon the Town Board as a Committee of three, Mr Adamson acting as spoksman, presented a Petition from the Lake George Assembly to the Topm Board asking for the removal of the Assembly Point Dock and that it V-made a W. P. A. Project. No action was taken. RESOLUTION NO 60 Introduced. by Mr Bentley , Seconded by Mr Lampoon, WHEREAS, By Section 251 of the Election law, the board. of Election are charged with the duty of appointing Custodians for the Voting machines and the Board of Elections has requested the Town boards to make reccommendations. The Election Law provides for the appointment of one each major party. RESOLVED, That the Town Board hereby reccommends the appointment of Custodian of Voting Machines of Richard C. Davis, a regular enrolled Republican of the Town of Queensbury, and Cornelious Naylon, a regular enrolled Democrat of the Town of Quennebury, it is further RESOLVED, That the salary of siad Custodians be and hereby is fixed at the annual salary of $50.00 Fifty Dollars, payable as provided by the Election Law, It is further, RESOLVRD, That such Custodians perform all duties provided by the In= .Election Law, as directed by the Board of Elections Duly adopted byhthe following Vote. ,Ayes- Ir.Been, Mr Nobles, Mr lampoon Mr lentley, and Mr Fowler.
