MINUTES OF MEETING
AUGUST 11, 1993
Minutes of the regular meeting of the Recreation Commission of the
Town of Queensbury, held Wednesday, August 11, 1993, at the West
End Park pavilion on Luzerne Road, Queensbury, New York. Chairman
Simmonds called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m.

Commissioners Auer, LaBombard & Simmonds
ALSO
PRESENT:
Director Hansen
ABSENT:
Commissioners Carusone, Labatore, Hersh (ex) & Maine
VISITORS:
Supervisor M. Brandt
Due to the lack of a quorum, the regular meeting was adjourned
without conducting any official business. However, those present
participated in an informal discussion on the role of the
Recreation Commission with regard to future land acquisition. The
Supervisor and the Commissioners in attendance discussed a variety
of associated topics including; available funding for land purchase
and development, the revised Department Master Plan (1991 version)
and the anticipated population growth in Queensbury. The meeting
concluded at approximately 8:00 p.m.
