MINUTES OF MEETING
JANUARY 14, 1991
Minutes of the regular meeting of the Recreation Commission of the Town of
Queensbury, held Monday, January 14, 1991, at the Queensbury Town Office Building,
Queensbury, New York. Chairman Simmonds called the meeting to order at 7:02
p.m.

Commissioners Carusone, Labatore and Simmonds
ALSO PRESENT:
Councilman Montessi and Director Hansen
ABSENT:
Commissioners Hersh, Labombard (ex), Sperry (ex) and Teti
(ex)
VISITORS:
None
Due to the lack of a quorum the scheduled Recreation Commission meeting was
postponed.
RBCRBA TION INFORMATION PRBSBNTBD
The Director introduced the new Department Secretary, Joan Wittnebert and also
briefly reviewed some of the correspondence which had been received by the
Department in the past month.
The status of the Hovey Pond Park project was outlined by the Director and he
mentioned that later this spring he would present and discuss the Department's
tentative plans for all Town parks.
These present were updated on the status of the summer playground report and it
was pointed out that the Director hoped to have the document finished as quickly
as possible.
The new starting time (7:00 p.m.) for all 1991 Commission meetings was mentioned
and the Director will mail out a special reminder notice to all concerned before
the February meeting. Chairman Simmonds mentioned that she would be out of
Town for the next meeting and that Vice-chairman Sperry would preside.
