Minutes of the December 6, 2011 regular meeting of the Recreation Commission of the Town of Queensbury held at the
Town of Queensbury Supervisor's Conference Room
Chairman LaBombard called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm
Roll Call: Welcome to newly appointed Commissioner Judy Goralski
• Present— Fusco, Goralski, La Bombard, Matthews, Mott,White

Approval of Minutes:
It was moved by Commissioner Mott, seconded by Commissioner Matthews,to approve the minutes from the
November 1, 2011 meeting. All members present approved.
Communications and Remarks from Visitors: (see file for copies)
• Monthly Correspondence
• Letter from Assistant Director O'Shaughnessy to David Moses stating our appreciation for his efforts in
the Girls Hooper Basketball program
• Copy of Resolution appointing Judith Goralski to the Commission
• Copy of press release regarding bullying prevention program to be held on 12/8/2011
• Budget Control Report as of 11/28/2011
• Update on Committee assignments—Commissioner Mott will preside as Chairperson for January and February
until a new slate is elected
• Commission meeting dates for 2012—November meeting changed to the 13th due to election day
• Employee Roster for winter 2011-2012
Unfinished Business
• Report on meeting between Supervisor Stec and Commissioners La Bombard and Mott—these meetings have
been extremely positive (see agenda for topics discussed)
• Update on proposed new Jenkinsville Maintenance Building by Director Lovering—a motion was made by
Commissioner Mott, seconded by Commissioner Matthews to approve the concept/plan as presented with
concerns as noted to Director Lovering,All members present approved
New Business
• Sculpture Donation for Hovey Pond—Director Lovering will do further research and report back to the
Commission, since several concerns were brought up by Commissioners
• Office redesign discussed by Director Lovering as part of current construction project—very positive comments
• Comments from Chairman LaBombard in regards to his retirement—Jack's comments and memories was a most
enjoyable and interesting "trip down memory lane"—Coffee and cake (thank you Commissioner White) had by
all.
