Minutes of the January 3, 2012 regular meeting of the Recreation Commission of the Town of Queensbury held
at the Town of Queensbury Supervisor's Conference Room
Chairman Mott called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm
Roll Call:
• Present—Lloyd Mott, Wendy Mathews, Lisa White, Tim Conboy
• Excused —Joe Fusco
• Staff— Steve Lovering, Jennifer Baertschi, Lori O'Shaughnessy
• Guests —none
Approval of Minutes:
It was moved by Commissioner Goralski, seconded my Commissioner White, to approve the minutes from the
December 6, 2011 meeting. All members present approved.

Monthly Correspondence:
• Copy of memo from Steve to Queensbury Town Board regarding Budget Transfers - 2011
• Copy of email from Dave DeMarco regarding Travel Basketball.
• Copy of letter from Jack LaBombard regarding his retirement from the Commission.
Budget Control as of 12/28/11— discussion
Review of Employee Roster—Winter 2011-12
Unfinished Business
• Review of Jenkinsville Maintenance Plan Update—Planning to present plan to Town Board at either the
end of January or beginning of February meeting.
• 2012 Adopted Budget Update—discussion
• 2012 Occupancy Tax Needs - discussion
• Meadowbrook Preserve Update—Eagle Scouts will be assisting with some of the plans such as
improved trail access and elevated wooden walkways in wet areas.
• Discussion on donated Sculpture.
New Business
• Gurney Lane Trail Map and Brochure- Trail signs have been completed. Brochure to be distributed to
local tourism. Hudson Pointe, Gurney Lane and Meadowbrook maps and brochures to be completed
and available this year.
• Discussion regarding replacement of Jack LaBombard.

• Safe and Quality Cycling—Fundraising is going well. Making progress and all plans are moving ahead.

• Program Review—Revenue numbers are very positive this year. $244,000 for 2011.
