Minutes of the regular meeting of the Recreation Ccmnission of the
Town of Queensbury, held Morrlay, July 23, 1984 at the Queensbury 'Ibwn
Office Building, QueensWry, New York. Chairperson Little called the meet-
ing to order at 7: 40 P.M.

Mr. John Farrell (Adirorrlack Youth Hockey)

Mr. John Farrell, representing the Mirorrlack Youth Hockey Organization
requested to speak 'am explained that œ was here to seek furrling assistance
($35,000.) to help ccrrplete the unfinishErl ice skating facility, located
behind the Yl-K':A. The City of Glens Falls had notified the Hockey Organization
that there were no IIDre furrls available am that if the Organization wanted
the building canpleted further, that they would have to provide thé finances.
Th:>ugh there was no quorum present, the Ccmnission listened am discuss-
ed the situation but advised Mr. Farrell the the Camù.ssion was an advisory
group and was not ~ed to allocate furrls.
Mr. Farrell thanked the Ccmnission and ooped that they would consider
his Organization's request at their next meeting am make a recœrnerrlation
to the 'Ibwn :&:>ard.
Due to the lack of a quorun, the meeting was adjourned until the next
scheduled meeting, which will be held on Morrlay, August 27, 1984 at 7: 30 P.M.
