The adult men's basketball program was discussed and the Director explained that this year there are two open gym nights available: One for those 30 and older, and one for those l8 and older. This was done primarily because of the need to separate the age 'groups in terms of ability, but also because of the large crowds which seem to enjoy this program. 1979 RECREATION BUDGET REVIEW The Director explained that the amount of funds initially budgeted in the areas of personnel, supplies and materials in 1979 Recreation Department Budget, would probably be exceeded before December 31, 1979. Due to the additional satellite playground programs which were conducted this summer, and based on the fact that the Department will now make and maintain an ice-skating area, rather than contracting it out, these additcLonal expenditures were not reflected in the 1979 Budget. The Town -2- Board has been alerted concerning this situation, and the Director has requested that additional funds, to carry the Department through 1979, be appropriated. The Director also explained the propared resolution to the Town Board requesting that the $8,000. OO'-amount in A7310. 300 be encumbered and placed in a reserve account. R-3. for future recreation development. The Commission requested the Director prepare an updated recap of the revenue accounts which the Department presently has put away for future recreation development.
