Top of the World — Unit 56 Residential Alteration
Proposed scope of work accompanying the Principal Structure Application:
Create a new bedroom on the lowest level by:
• Installing a new single casement window on the front side of the unit on the lowest level. This
window will be vinyl clad in the same color as the window above it. This window will also have
wood trim around it—the same as the window above it. The rough opening will be
approximately 41 inches by 41 inches. The window will open on the right side (when looking
from the inside).
• Removing the existing wall between the closet and the utility room.
• Installing a new wall between the new bedroom and the utility room.
• Installing a new closet wall with bi-fold doors in front of the existing closet pole structure.
• Moving the door from the bottom of the stairway to the entrance of the master bedroom.
• Electrical outlets and a smoke detector will be installed in accordance with the building code.
• Installing carpeting in the new bedroom.
The approximate size of this new bedroom will be 11.5 feet by 9.5 feet.
The square footage of this unit will remain the same.
The installation of a new casement window on the front of this unit has been approved by the Board of
Directors of the Homeowners'Association.
Floor plans of the existing lowest level and this level with the proposed changes are attached.
