Dear Tim:
On September 11, 2015, we performed deep soil test pits and percolation tests at your property
located at 737 Ridge Road in Queensbury. The tests were performed southwest of the existing
residence where construction of a new leach field is proposed.
The results of the testing are as follows:
Test Pit#1 - Percolation Test
0 —3" Topsoil Stabilization percolation rate- 1" in 3 min., 19 sec.
3 — 12" Loamy Fine Sand
12-32"Medium Fine Sand w/gravel& cobbles\
32—70"Very Fine Sand Trace Silt(Compact @ 32")
Mottling observed at 45"&No Groundwater observed
The 18 inch deep hole was presoaked and the test was run 5 times; at a depth of 12 inches,until it
stabilized with three consecutive runs of 2:57, 3:08 and 3:19 respectively.
The design flow for this 3 bedroom system at 110 gpd per bedroom (330 gpd design flow),
requires 367 sf of absorption area. The replacement absorption system should be constructed as a
shallow absorption bed installed no deeper than 12" into the existing grade. The absorption bed
system should consist of a new 1,000 gallon septic tank, a new distribution box and a 20 ft x 25
ft absorption bed located to the southwest of the existing residence.

This letter is to inform you that we inspected the completed replacement septic system for the Kline
residence located at 737 Ridge Road in the Town of Queensbury on 10/06/2015.
The replacement septic system as installed was for a three-bedroom home and consisted of the new
1000 gallon septic tank, new distribution box and a 20 ft wide by 25 ft long absorption bed
constructed of 4" diameter perforated pipe & stone. The system conforms to the requirements of the
approved septic system design.
