This project has been on-going for approximately a year and is nearing its completion. The site work has involved the removal of the existing seawall with restoration of a `natural' boulder riprap shoreline,the creation of an extensive shoreline buffer area planted with numerous low growth shrubs and ground cover and the re-establishment of a surrounding lawn area. It should be noted that the shoreline buffer is far more extensive than that required by the approved plan and that the lawn area has been quickly and successfully re-established/stabilized with the use of sod. Regarding the stormwater management system,four rain gardens have been constructed as per plan as well as a subsurface infiltration area on the northside of the house. Some roof leader connections have yet to be finalized to the designated management devices. The permeable paver driveway area is currently being constructed as per plan with completion expected this week. The lakeside of the house consists of an impermeable patio area which sheet drains to a rain garden. The patio's finished stone surface is currently being completed. For the purpose of receiving a temporary `certificate of occupancy' I would conclude that the work involved with the site development is at approximately 90% completion with the site in a stabilized condition. The work has been completed to date in compliance with the approved plans and I fully expect that all work will be in-place and stabilized by the July 3151 date of final completion suggested by the General Contractor. I am confident that this final sod placement will be in place at that time and be completed consistent with the quality of the work completed to date. It is the intent of the Owner's to move in by this weekend and would like to do so with a 'final' certificate of occupancy secured. It is my opinion that the site work subject to my review(stormwater management and erosion control) has been completed in compliance with the approved plan and with great care and competence.
