Dunn Mr Paul Beard and Chick Dailey from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6196 of the Town of Queensbury appeared to ask our permission to place a flag pole near their vault. After some discussion, the best location seemed to be the area to the left as you enter the cemetery. At this time the Post will handle the flag raising with volunteers . Moneys for the pole and flag will not be the responsi- bility of the Cemetery Commission. The Commission felt that a flag pole would enhance the cemetery and hoped the project would be finalized. The County will not be able to put in our culvert but we've heard now that Carl Garb has orderedit and that the town will proceed with the work. The purchase of the culvert will wipe out the "road" account and a small part of the Boyhhuk mon? will also be used. Walter Rehm, lawyer, called concerning a bequest of ,'300.00 left to the Commission for perpetual care of the Seelye cemetery . The Secretary will send our standard resolution to Mr. Rehm. The Commission will buy a rubber stamp and some postcards that the Supt. can use to attempt to reach the owner. If there is no response, we can proceed to remove the shrubs . It is not really required that we try to reach the owner but it seemed the best way to avoid upsetting people unnecessarily. The Culvert and roadshould be in before the snow fl e since Mr. Garb will be paving in our area and will do our work at the same time as the other.
