12-11-1991 PINE WOOD CEMETERY COMMISSION
Dec . 11, 1991
9: 00am
Present : Dougher, Edwards, Prime and Supt . Mosher
Our vault is now in use, mainly serving St . Alphonso' s needs, as
they do not bury in the winter. We will open all winter long, if
possible, for burials in Pine Wood.
We have received only one bid for the fence for Mt . Hermon. The
amount was $4500 from the same firm that sold us the Sunnyside
fencing. The Town of Queensbury accounting methods seem to be
undergoing change but we will point out the sources of the funds
to be spent to the office . There is $3236 left of our Boychuck
funds (plus interest since 1987) . There is the difference between
the insurance check for Sunnyside fencing and what we spent , that
difference being $873, and there were three small insurance checks
for Mt . Hermon in the amounts of $285, $195 and $270. All these
sources add to $4859 (plus interest on Boychuck funds) which will
more than cover the cost of the new fencing. We' ll store it and
install it in the Spring.
Mike Lopez ruptured his appendix and will be out for eight weeks .
We will buy a new portable jackhammer from Albany Ladder. The
money will come from the tool account . The current hammer is 22
years old and predates the card system of the town.
Rodney will research and come back to the Commission on charges
for accepting bodies at the Crematory on weekends and holidays . We
wish to discourage this because of overtime pay.
