06-07-1995 QUEENSBURY CEMETERY COMMISSION JUNE 7, 1995, 9 a.m. PRESENT: Commissioners : Dougher, Edwards, Higgins Superintendent Rodney Mosher Councilwoman Betty Monahan Rodney reported that Horicon is in the final stages of preparation and may need to open by October as Mohican is almost full . A discussion was held regarding limiting the size of monuments or graduating the heights so as not to block the smaller stones . Two water breaks in the lines were repaired before Memorial Day. In the near future we will be running water onto the new piece down our own right-of-way from Sweet Road. Cremations are continuing to increase. There were 54 in May. Since the minutes of May 3, 1995 , Rodney has been informed that the Union had in fact no objection to the hiring of Gail Sinclair under the Green Thumb Project. She has since accepted another position and Rod will follow up with Green Thumb to fill the position at Pine View. The Supervisor has verbally agreed to this . The Superintendent made a preliminary presentation on Community Mausoleums . The proposed site would be in the front. This area is too wet for burials . The research on this project is continuing. Sylvia Dougher reported that the deed to Wing Cemetery should be received by mid June. A check was sent to Edward and Myra Woodward for the repurchase of Lot 21D, Mohican.
