07-02-1997 QUEENSBURY CEMETERY COMMISSION July 2, 1997 9 a.m. PRESENT: Superintendent Rodney Mosher Commissioners: Sylvia Dougher, Bob Edwards, Terry Higgins Councilmen: Ted Turner, Betty Monahan Paul Cushing, Architect. Paul Cushing presented the Commission with a contract and floor plans. Discussion was held regarding switching to gas, heating and plumbing concerns and that the new addition would be computer ready. Mr. Cushing will check with the Department of Labor regarding prevailing wage rate. As far as Municipal law the prevailing wage does not come into play. Paul will also check into $5 million liability. The Town Coucil has one week to review the plans. There was a discussion of the Pine View Cemetery sign to include "Crematorium" . Mr. Cushing will advise Rodney of the original supplier of the cast bronze letters. The pickup truck needs replacement as well as Rodney's car. A Waste Water Department truck is going to auction. It is a GM diesel with approximately 90, 000 miles with a plow. The Sheriff's Department quickly apprehended the person who stole Mrs. Wilsey's purse from her car while she was visiting her granddaughter' s grave. An ad was placed in the newspaper for a Commissioner to replace Sylvia. Betty or Ted will request a new resolution to keep Sylvia on the Board temporarily. Two people will be hired for seven weeks this summer at the rate of $8.50 per hour. JUNE 1997 Cemetery: Crematorium: Interments $ 3, 915. Cremations $6,365 . Lots 2, 265. Cardboards 475.
