COUNCILMEN: TED TURNER, BETTY MONAHAN
Dr. George Wiswall was appointed by the Town Board of Queensbury as a
member of the Queensbury Cemetery Commission on August 18, 1997, said
term to expire August 18, 2000.
A Resolution was passed on August 18, 1997 by the Town Board approving
of the addition/alteration project at Pine View Cemetery Commission
Office Building and authorized the execution of the agreement between
the Commission and Paul E. Cushing Associates, Architects.
A Resolution was passed on August 18, 1997 by the Town Board approving
and authorizing . the Cemetery Commission to purchase a 1988 GMC 1-ton
truck from the Town Wastewater Department for the amount of $7,000 .
The Town Board approved the repurchase of the plot owned by Leroy A.
and Eunice M. Ball for the sum of $466.67 .
Gary Grant suffered another heart attack and will be out for an
indefinite period of time.
There were 52 cremations in August.
The Berkshire Corp. will be deeding a portion of the Doyle's property
at Quaker Cemetery back to the Town of Queensbury.
There was a brief discussion with respect to developing the new piece
located up near Mohican. Before it can be seeded it needs more
grading and additional compost tilled in.
