10-01-1997 QUEENSBURY CEMETERY COMMISSION
October 1, 1997 9 a.m.
PRESENT: Superintendent, Rodney Mosher
Commissioners: George Wiswall, Bob Edwards Terry Higgins
Councilmen: Ted Turner, Betty Monahan
All of the September foundations are in and the last pour for the year
will be next week. After that the water will be turned off.
There were 52 cremations in September.
The shrubs were removed from the front of the Pine View office
building and some were saved and replanted.
Building bids must be in October 2nd and open at 3 p.m.
Rod and Dr. Wiswall went to Austin Cemetery at Howe Lane and Rockwell
Road to inspect a large maple tree. The tree needs a trim and
possible removal of a poplar tree that is growing with it. This work
needs to be done professionally and Rod will contact Darleen as to who
has the contract.
Next month's meeting will be the second Wednesday, November 12th.
Gary Grant is out for an indeterminate period of time.
Rod has not heard anything further from Benjamin Lee regarding the
Harrisena project.
Pine View Cemetery needs the use of a bulldozer and grader to level a
piece of ground for future burials.
