09-02-1998 Queensbury Cemetery Commission
September 2, 1998 - 9 a.m.
Present: Superintendent Rodney Mosher
Commissioners: George Wiswall, Terry Higgins
Town Controller: Henry Hess
There were 32 cremations in August.
The Commission agreed to let the Town pay Mossbrook $10,388.75
and Henry Hess will process the payment. Mr. Hess will also send
them a letter offering them an option to replace the floor with
heavy duty carpeting.
Regarding Northway Plaza, Henry Hess will look at their appraisal
and offer a suggestion.
Stan Hunt has been paid.
As of August 14th the summer help was done. Rodney said they did
a fine job.
Thirteen families are waiting to purchase plots in Abanaki and
Rod will try to open that area this month.
Marilyn VanDyke is waiting to hear of any progress with the fence
at Quaker Cemetery.
The Highway Department removed one culver and replaced four, and
put temporary black top by Oneida. They worked for one week and
Rod advised the Commission that Paul Naylor's staff did a very
professional job and extended every courtesy so that people could
enter and exit the Cemetery with ease.
