REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
Meeting called to order by Chairman, Joseph Regan. All
Commissioners present, also, present, Frank Scoville, Supt.
of Pine View Cemetary.
Minutes of the last meeting read and approved.
Superintendent Frank Scoville was instructed to have the
hay mowed in the Pine View Cemetary as soon as possible.
Motion was made, seconded and carried that Sevretary be
empowered to have printed suitable stationery for use of the
Cemetary Commission. It was decided to have 500 letterheads
and 700 envelopes printed.
Treasurer, Frank Cowles reported for the month of June,
the receipt of $200 from the Ida Hubbell estate for the care
of her lot at the Sunnyside Cemetary. Frank Scoville turned
over $203.50 to Treasurer Frank Cowles. Of this amount,
$173.50 will be turned over to Supervisor H. Russell Harris
and the remainder to go into the perpetual care fund.
Chairman Joseph Regan made motion that beginning August
1st, 1948, no burial plots shall be reserved for more than 30
days before being paid for in full. Motion duly seconded &
carried. A
Secretary is to write to several people who now have
burial plots or graves temporarily reserved or set aside
without any deposit or payment made on them, informing them
of the above resolution. Frank Scoville to furnish Sevretary
with a list of such persons.
Secretary is directed to contact the City Clerk and
ascertain the type of book which the City of Glens Falls
uses to record the sale of cemetary lots in the Glens Falls
Cemetary.
Chairman, Joseph Regan designated as thepersohito attend
the next meeting of the Queensbury Town Board to represent
the Cemetary Commission.
Report was made on inspections of the various town
cemetaries and all were found to be in good condition with
the exception of the West Glens Falls Cemetary which is poor.
West Glens Falls Firemen to be contacted and asked to do a
more thorough job of cleaning that cemetary.

August 18, 1948
REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
Meeting called to order by Chairman, Joseph Regan.
All Commissioners present; also, Supt. Frank Scoville.
Minutes of the last meeting read and approved as corrected.
Superintendent Scoville reported that the mowing of grass
in the Pine View Cemetary is completed except for the circle which
is going to be completed within a few days.
Motion made, seconded and carried that rates for opening of
graves be raised to $25.00 for slate or metal box or $35.00 with
wooden box.
Chairman, Joseph Regan gave report of his attendance at the
Queensbury Town Board meeting and said that the Town Board seemed
to be satisfied with the management of the cemetaries of the Town.

Treasurer, Frank .Cowles reported receipt of $191.25 of
which $45 was for sale of a burial lot and the balance was for 1
setting foundations, opening graves, etc. $11.25 to be placed
in the perpetual care fund, and $180 to be turned over to
Supervisor H. Russell Harris.
