REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
Meeting called to order by President Joseph Regan at
7 :50 P.M. Commissioners Regan, Cowles and Van Dusen present ,
- also , Supt . Frank Scoville.
Minutes of preceding meeting read. and approved.
Treasurer reported receipts of $184.37 all of which was
from openings and foundations. All of the above money turned
over to Supervisor H. Russell Harris.
Condition of Mt . Herman cemetary reported to be rather
bad. Secretary is instructed to contact President of Best
Glens Falls Firemen, Arthur Duell , and have them take care of
the cleaning of this cemetary.
Request was received by the Commissioners for a small
quantity of building stone from the foundation of the old
cemetary barn which was razed some years ago. Discussion
followed, and it was decided that the cemetary Supt . is making
use of this stone wass and would continue to use the stone for
walls , curbings , and culvert head walls for some time to come.
Motion was made , seconded, and carried that no part of the
stone wall referred to be given or sold to any individual.
Secretary reported that he finds no map of Pine View
Cemetary is -recorded or on file in the County Clerk' s Office
at this time.
A general discussion of a "Free Ground" area in the •
Pine View Cemetary took place. It was decided that ne mbers
of the Queensbury Town Board should accompany the Cemetary
Commissioners in selecting such a site.
Letter received from Mrs . John Peters , of Memphis , Tenn. ,
in regard to 30 shares of Pine View Cemetary stock which she
holds , making inquiry as to its value, etc. Secretary to write
her informing her of the change of status of the Pine View
Cemetary to its present ownership by the Town of Queensbury.
