Mr. Theodore D. Ostrow
Dear Sir:
Enclosed herewith is the questionnaire on the
subject of Cemeteries. I have filled it out as
Completely as it is possible for this Commission to
do.
Many questions do not pertain to the Pine View
Cemetery in as much as it does not belong to an
Association, Corporation or individual owners, and
.. therefor has no -stockholders or Officers. This
Cemetery was purchased from the Pine View Cemetery
Association in 1947 for 01.00 by the Town of
Queensbury, Warren County, N.Y. , and is still
owned by said town. A special act was introduced
and passed in the State Legislature early. in 1948
setting up a Board of Cemetery Commissioners
consisting of three members whose duty it is to
handle all matters pertaining to Town of Queensbury
Cemeteries. This Board serves without pay and has
no financial interest in the Cemeteries. At the
present time, the Cemetery Commission consists of
the three men whose names appear at the head of the
letterhead.
I doubt whether, under the circumstances, it
would be desired by you to have us fill out the
enclosed sheets, but if it will be of help to you
in your survey, we are glad to answer es many of
the questions as pertain to our particular case .
Very truly yours,
Sidney Van Dusen
Secretary.
