REGULAR MONTHLY I:EETING
August 19, 1953
All Commissioners and Caretaker Scoville are present.
Secretary is directed to write a letter to Mrs. William
Robinson, 43 W. Notre Dame St. , Glens Falls telling her that
the status of the Austin Burial Plot on the Rockwell road is
that of a private burial plot and it will not be legal for
the Town of Queensbury to spend money on such a plot.
- Secretary read a report of the New York State Dept. of
Audit and control relative to the audit of the Cemetery
'Commission books . All Commissioners are to attend the next
meeting of the Queensbury Town Board to discuss this report
with the Board.
Motion duly made , seconded and carried that the Sedretary
publish the legal notice required by Sec. 35 of the General
municipal Law, as to the receipt of the above Audit report .
Motion duly made , seconded and carried that the Town
Board be requested to designate an area 40 feet by 100 feet
north of the receiving vault as a free ground in Pine View
Cemetery. Secretary is to notify County Welfare Commissioner
Clarence Carpenter that such a free ground has been established
in Pine View Cemetery.
Receipts :
Interments $ 75.00
Caretaker Scoville is to secure quotations on grass
seed and fertilizer for Pine View Cemetery from 3 dealers
in the Town of Queensbury and submit these quotations at
the next meeting of the Commission.
