Commissionsers Van Dusen, Cowles, and Day present.
The purpose of this special meeting was to determine the
advisability of selling a lot of land 200 feet frontage by
275 feet indepth •adjacent:,tO dfSimiTar parcel recently sold
to Regan & Denny for a funeral home on Quaker Road. It is under-
stood that the Albany Savings Bank is interested in the plot as
a site for a new Bank Building.
It is the opinion of this Commission that the land in question
would not be suitable for burial purposes and further that the
use of t he land for the specified purpose would not be detrimental
to area properties or to the Cemetery itself.
Therfor, upon motion, duly made, seconded and carried it was
unanimously agreed by the Cemetery Commission of the Town of Queens-
bury, that the Town Board, by appropriate legal method, should
sell the property in question, subject to similar restrictions
placed on the aflacent lot purchased by Regan & Denny. We would
further recommend that the p urchase' price should be at least as
much as that paid by Regan & Denny for their lot.
We would also ask that the usual 25 of said sale price be ren
to the Cemetery Commission for deposit in our Perpetual Care Fund.
