COVERED PORCH PROJECT PROPOSAL
Scope of Work
Construct a safe and code compliant covered porch attached to an existing primary residence in
Queensbury, NY.
• Overall dimensions of the lot are 131'x 59'
• There is the residence and a storage shed already existing on the property
• The front of the residence currently is 43' from the edge of the public road, 8'from the property
line on the south side, and 18'from the property line on the north side
• The overall dimensions of the proposed porch are 7'x 35'
• The construction of the proposed porch would cause the residence to shrink to 35'from the
public road, 8'from the property line on the south side,and 18'from the property line on the
north side
• The proposed porch will have a head height of 7'from the top of the porch deck to the bottom
side of the main support beam
• The standing head height of the proposed porch will be 7'6"
• The proposed porch will be finished with white aluminum trim and vinyl siding to match the
existing house
Notes
I am not responsible for the finish roofing of this proposed porch. Another contractor is
reroofing the existing house and this proposed porch addition. My contract with the client stops
once the roof sheathing is on.
