Your insights are always helpful. Two issues raised at the visit were "wet sticking"of the footing upturn rebar and testing of the concrete. As you indicated, on a project this size, cylinders will not be required as long as the proper concrete mix is used as specified on the drawings. As far as the rebar, 1 have spoken to the general contractor and concrete contractor. I reiterated the bars are to be the frequency and location as specified in the drawings. Also, they are to be careful to insert the rebar in the wet concrete making sure you have full contact with the concrete and not to have holes around each bar when they are done.
