From inspection, the existing CMU wall was not filled with concrete. Haanen Engineering recommended to fill in concrete minimum 4" on each side of lintel bearing. Haanen engineering re-inspected and verified that the CMU blocks at lintel bearing have been filled with concrete on March 15, 2017. Haanen Engineering also confirm that placement of 1/2" dia. anchor at lintel ends is not required as the lintel is sandwiched between 2x wood studs. Please contact the undersigned with questions.
