Mr. Willets wanted to know if the town would sponsor a fall leaf pick up. - Supervisor Austin referred this to the Highway Committee. Mr. Collins question the proposed sewage plan for the lake George Area. --Ji Supervisor Austin noted that the Towr. Board net with Harold Rist and Ray Irish and discussed the many facets of this plan. Francis Fish- Did Sperry Trucks bill the Town for the equipment that was used at the landfill? Belanger Meeting Opened 7 : 38 Information meeting on the proposed drainage district for Seward- Ames-Grant-Ripley-Barber-Sherman Avenues Supervisor Austin: The Town now proposes to add Barber Avenue and Ripley Place to the originally planned Drainage District. The total cost of the project will go from the original $58,000 to $63,000 however the cost per resident will drop from 690 to 60(,% per front foot with the addition of the extra land. It was noted during the meeting that the Town has met with the city and that there will be two possibly three connections made into the city Drainage system, as to the charee that will be leviod on the residents of the area, this has not beejj,''8ateimided. 26-` The engineering plan will be made thru the County Engineer and EEA help. Mr.VanQrnum-Will the City lines be big enough to take the extra water? Mr. Garb-Yes . Mr. Austin- We are pleased to have gotten informal approval from the City of Glens Falls. The Town will have wtitten agreement with the City on the project. Mr.VanOrnum-have you found out from the city how much they will I charge? Mr. Austin-This has treen figured in but the city has not been approached as to the exact cost. Information meeting-Feasibility study on the proposed establishment of a sewage system in the northern portion of the town (Lk: George shore) Plum Point, Assembly Point , Dunhams Bay, Cleverdale, Rockhurst,Kattskill Bay, along route 9L from Lake George Town line to Fort Ann Town Line (note) The Town of Lake George is well along with its plans for a sewage treatment plant - meeting turned over to Rist Frost Associates : Harold Rist: Three Main ideas to follow: 1. Hooking on with the Town of Lake George 2. the possibility of a transmission line down Bgy Road or Ridge Road tying with the sewage system serving most of the town. 3. the establishment of a pumping station in Queensbury "Our job is to find the best way-,-, the least expensive way, to do the job. " Mr. Gallaway-assured the town that the Tmm of Lake George would cooperate with the Town of Queensbury. It was emphasized during the meeting that the study would be only a feasibility 'study, they would not go into great detail, the study according to Mr. Ray Irish would take approximately three to four months. Many residents of the Lake George area voiced the need for sewage system study and their support of this project. Mr. Scrafford - Building Inspector for the Town of Lake George, if the Town of Queensbury does intend to use the Lake George facilities they would like to know as soon as possible so they could make the proper engineering adjustments-
