RESOLUTION PETITIONING THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
TO IMPLEMENT SAID PLANS FOR RELOCATION OF BIG BOOM ROAD
RESOLUTION N0. 235, Introduced by Mr. Harold Robillard who moved its
adoption, seconded by Mr. Robert Barber:
WHEREAS, traffic problems exist on Corinth Road in the Town of Queens-
bury in the area where said road is intersected by the easterly exit
ramp of Exit 18 of the Adirondack Northway and by Big Boom Road because
of intersectional congestion; and
WHEREAS, the State of New York Department of Transportation has pre-
pared plans for the relocation of the intersection of Big Boom Road
and Corinth Road; whibh plans have been approved by prior resolution
of this Board; and
WHEREAS traffic in said area has been increased by the opening of a
restaurant and freight terminal in the area and will be further in
creased upon the opening of a motel complex; now, therefe, be it
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury ltireby petitions
the State Department of °` portation to implement said plans for re-
location of Big Boom Road; and be it further
RESOLVED, that copies Of this tdbdlutidri be forwarded to Charles E.
Carlson, District Director; and William J. Lennon, Resident Engineer,
State Department of Transportation; and to Fred Austin, Warren County
Superintendent of Public Works.

1033-1156 totaling $40,892.88 is hereby approved.

Dear Mr. Austin:
I believe the Town Board was recently presented with a petition
regarding boats being parked near or into the Sweet Road and cars
ignoring "No Parking signs.
Our buses make the turn into the Sweet Road during the noontime
kindergarten run and in the evening on the activity runs . They too
have found the turn a hazardous one due to the lank of room to nego-
tiate the turn and the poor visibility. The Board of Education has
asked me to point this difficulty out to you. If the b,099.9 remain
