again voiced their- opinion that a stop .sign whould be placed there.

RESOLUTION TO ADOPT AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 28 OF THE TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY ESTABLISHING THROUGH HIGHWAYS AND STOP INTERSECTIONS IN THE
TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, COUNTY OF WARREN AND STATE OF NEW YORK
RESOLUTION NO. 304 Introduced by Mr. Robert Barber who moved its
adoption, seconded by Mr. Daniel Olson: J
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury has received a
petition from several residents of the Twicwood Area in the Town of
Queensbury requesting stop signs be placed at the intersection of
Montray Road with Twicwood Lane and Cedarwood Drive so as to create
a four-way stop at that intersection, and
WHEREAS, it is provided by Sections 1660 (a) (1) of the Vehicle and
Traffic Law of the State of New York that a TuWn may create stop intersections
and establish the same within such Tvwn, and
WHEREAS, Section 130 of the Town Law provides that a public hearing be held
upon all proposed ordinances and amendments thereof to be held upon due notice
as provided for therein and

WHEREAS , a proposed amendment was presented to the Town Board and
after due notice a public hearing was held thereon by the Town Board
on the 1st day of November, 1973, at 7 : 30 P.M. E.S.T. at the Town
Office Building, Bay and Haviland Roads, Glens Falls, New York 12801
and that the Town Clerk gave notice of such hearing by publication
thereof in the official town newspapers at least once prior to the
date specified for such hearing, specifying the time when and the
place where such hearing will be held and in general terms describing;
said proposed amendment, and
WHEREAS , all persons were heard both in favor of and opposed to, now
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Ordinance No. 28 of the Town of Queensbury establishing
through highways and stop intersections in the Tawn of Queensbury,
County of Warren and State of New York be amended as follows :
Section No. 1 - Ordinance No. 28 of the Tmem of Queensbury, establish-
ing through highways and stop intersections in the Tovn of Queensbury,
County of Warren and State of New York is hereby amended to include as
a stop intersection, the intersection of Montray Road, Twicwood Lane and
Cedarwood Drive, which are hereby designated as stop intersections and
stop signs shall be erected on Montray Road, Cedarwood Drive and a stop
sign be placed on both the north and south side of Twicwood Lane
where the same is intersected by Montray Road and Cedarwood Drive.
Section No. 2 - All Ordinances or parts thereof of the Town of
Queensbury inconsistant with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby
repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent
of such inconsistancy and in all other respects this Ordinance shall be
in addition to the other Ordinances regulating and governing the subject
matter covered by this Ordinance.
Section No. 3 - This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.

WHEREAS, Mr. Carl Garb, the Highway Superintendent of the Town of
Queensbury, has recommended that the Town Board advertise for bids
for the purchase of two 9 foot "V" Box Sanders , therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Town of Queensbury solicit sealed bids for two
9 foot "V" Box Sanders and that the following notice be published
once in the official newspapers to read in the following form:
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the Town Clerk bf the Town of Queens-
bury at the Town Office Building, Bay and Haviland Roads up until 5 :00
P.M. on November 20, 1973 for two 9 foot "V" Box Sanders .
Bids must be submitted in sealed "OPAQUE" envelopes plainly marked "Bids
on two 9 foot "V" Box Sanders" and there shall be included in such bid
the certificate of Non-Collusion required by Section 103D of the General
Municipal Law as the act and deed of such Corporation.

Supervisor Austin: expressed reservations as to the proposed Transportation
Bond Issue noting projects listed on the work schedule are not specific-
metropolitan areas are receiving the most from the bill - there seems to
be a question as to the financing of the bond. . .
Councilman Olson: voiced against the bond noting this would mean a jump
from six to fourteen cents tax per gallon of gas. . .
RESOLUTION IN.-OPPOSITION TO THE PROPOSITION NO. 1 THE TRANSPORTATION
BOND ISSUE
RESOLUTION NO. 307 Introduced by Mr. John Austin who moved its adoption
seconded by Mr. Robert Barber:
WHEREAS Proposition No. 1, The Transportation Bond Issue, will appear
on the statewide ballot on Tuesday, November 6, and
WHEREAS such proposition is indefinite in scope, unrealistic in financial
planning, and will favor metropolitan areas at the expense of rural
areas such as Queensbury; now, therefore be it
resolved, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby expresses
its opposition to said proposition No. 1 and urges voters of the Town
to vote "No" on said Proposition in the General Election.

WHEREAS Amendment No. 1, The Sewage Debt Amendment will appear on the
Statewide ballot on Tuesday, November 6, and
WHEREAS, it is essential to fiscal and environmental planning for the
Town of Queensbury that the sewer debt exclusion be extended pursuant to
said amendment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby expresses
its support of said Amendment No. 1 and urges voters of the Town to vote
"Yes" on said Amendment in the General Election.
