Dear Mr. Kristel:
Hanson Van Vleet, LLC conducted an asbestos containing material (ACM) survey of the
residential structure and garage building at 54 Aviation Road, Tax ID: 295.18-1-86 in the Town
Queensbury, Warren County, New York (See Figure 1). HVV is authorized by the New York
State Department of Labor under license # 05-0220 to perform asbestos inspections, sample
collection and surveys. The inspection of the structures was conducted by a NYSDOL licensed
Class D Inspector, in accordance with 12 NYCRR Part 56, (referred to as Industrial Code Rule
56) and 29 CFR Part 1910. The inspection of the structures was conducted on August 23, 2017.
A copy of the NYSDOL Asbestos license is attached to this letter.
Methods
An on-site walk through inspection of the residence and garage was performed in accordance
with Subpart 56-5(e) of 12 NYCRR Part 56. Building plans were not available for review. A
thorough inspection of the building materials present was conducted in both the residence and
garage outbuilding to be demolished. Due to the lack of suspect ACM materials identified, no
bulk sampling of the building materials was conducted.
Inspection Results
Residence
The inspection revealed a two-story, two-bedroom, one-bathroom, residential structure,
approximately 1080 square feet in size. The structure was of wood framed construction, on a
field stone and concrete block foundation,with a finished attic and a metal roof.
The exterior was sided with wood clapboard and trim and cedar shakes. All windows are
reported to have been previously removed by the homeowner. Doors were wood framed
construction with no glazing.
The interior consisted of wood framed construction with particle board walls, wood and particle
board flooring, paper ceiling tiles and particle board ceilings. Insulation in the residence, where
present,consisted of shredded paper and stuffed newspaper.
Basement construction was concrete block and field stone with open wood-framed ceilings.

No Suspect ACM materials were identified on the interior or exterior of the house.
Garage Outbuilding
The Garage at the property was in poor structural condition and consisted of wood framed
construction with a dirt floor,wooden siding, and a metal roof. The interior of the garage was not
finished and consisted solely of open wooden framing. No suspect ACM was observed during
the inspection of the garage structure.
Conclusions
No suspect asbestos containing materials were identified within the residence and garage
building at 54 Aviation Road Queensbury, NY. No asbestos abatement is required prior to
demolition of the structures. This survey is based on suspect ACM that is observed and visible at
the time of the inspection. There may be additional suspect ACM not visible, which may only be
exposed during demolition activities.
