1970-12-03 SP must be accomplished by county local law no later than
January 30, 1971 in order that they may be placed on
the November election ballot which could necessitate
a primary in June 1971.
2. Request the Warren County Board of Supervisors to
immediately adjust their weighted voting to reflect
the true equal representation of each supervisor in
the county in ratio to the population each represents.
This would necessitate increasing or decreasing the
votes cast by each supervisor based on the 1970
official United States Census.
If the Town board is in agreement I would recommend that
this board authorize me (by resolution) to make the request
at the next meeting of the Warren County Board of Supervisors.
RESOLUTION TO REQUEST WARREN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO CREATE
TWO ADDITIONAL SUPERVISORS FOR THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY AND TO
IMMEDIATELY ADJUST THE WEIGHTED VOTING
RESOLUTION No. 2.64, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, who moved its
adoption, seconded by Mr. Austin.
WHEREAS, the Town Board has asked the Supervisor to request the
Warren County Board of Supervisors to_ create two additional super-
visors for the Town of Queensbury and to adjust their weighted
voting so that each one of the four county supervisors would have
10 votes each and the town supervisor would have 12 votes for a
total of 52 votes for the Town and
WHEREAS, the creation of two new supervisors must be accomplished
by county local law no later than January 30, 1971 in order that
they may be placed on the November election ballot which could
necessitate a primary in June 1971, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the supervisor make the above request and also
request the Warren County Board of Supervisors to immediately
adjust their weighted voting to reflect the true equal repre-
sentation of each supervisor in the county in ratio to the popu-
lation each represents. This would necessitate increasing or
decreasing the votes cast by each supervisor based on the 1970
official United States Census.

has scheduled an election for Town of Queensbury employees to decide
if they wish to be represented in wage bargaining by the Civil Service
Employees Association Inc. The election will be staged December 14th
at 3 P.M.

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING
RESOLUTION No. 265, introduced by Mr. Robillard, who moved its
adoption, seconded by Mr. Solomon.
WHEREAS, Hugh C. Dever of Connecticut Avenue, Glens Falls, New
York has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section
4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR
THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside
of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated Connecticut
Avenue, Town of Queensbury, N.Y. , and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that said application complies with
the requirements of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS, it .is hereby determined that the facts presented in said
application are sufficient to justify further consideration by this

States Catheter wishes to build a new plant on the site as they have

WHEREAS, application has been made by United States Catheter
and Instrument Corporation for the rezoning of an area owned by
William aronson and Clara Aronson bounded and described as f6llows:
located on the easterly side of Bay Road in the area between
Cronin Road and Haviland Road and being a retangiiar parcel of
land with a frontage of 1336, 9 feet on Bay Road and measuring
2691.7 feet on the Northerly side bounded by lands formerly
of Henry Genier and known as the Bayberry Development, 1336.97
feet on the Easterly side bounded by Meadowbrook Road, and 2689.2

Supervisor Solomon referred to Town Attorney Harold Katz the
possibility of an ordinance to control out-of-town businesses
which come into Queensbury and set up temporary headquarters
and then move on. He said he was seeking a measure under which
the consumer can be protected from businesses such as these
which often fold up after transactions are made.
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AUDIT OF BILLS
RESOLUTION No. 267, introduced by Mr. Robertson, who moved its
adoption, seconded by Mr. Robillard.
RESOLVED, that the Audit of Bills as listed in Abstract 70-12
numbered #2292 through 2293 inclusive and totaling $8,650.00
is hereby approved.

Councilman Robillard stated that Mayor Robert J. Cronin of Glens
Falls had named a committee to meet with the Queensbury committee
on the hazardous traffic conditions resulting at the new inter-
sections of Western Avenue with Broad Street and Luzerne Road.
Supervisor Solomon stated that Frank Fuller, district engineer of
the State Transportation Department, has consented to meet with
county and town officials next week to discuss the deletion of
provisions for beautification in the state' s reconstruction of
the Aviation Road-Quaker Road-Route 9 intersection.
The Town Board had a workshop session on municipal sewer and water
systems following tonight' s meeting.
